CALCULUS… A rectangular storage container with an open top is to have a colume of 10 m^3…?
The length of its base is twice the width. The material for the base costs $12 per m^2. Material for the sides costs $5 per square meter. Find the cost of materials for the cheapest container with these specifications.

let the width be ‘w’ length ‘2w’ and height ‘h’ substituting h=5/w^2.
total cost is 24w^2(floor) +(2*2w*h+2*w*h)*5 (sides)=24w^2+6*w*h
that is 24*w^2+150/w
differentiating this i got 48*w-150/w^2 putting it to be zero w comes out to be (25)^(1/3)/2 the cost comes out to be 153.897
been a while since i tried some calculus problem
