Best University of California campus for a European exchange student?
Based on social scene and safety because I might be coming as an exchange student for one year, academic level doesnt matter that much since I’ll be the equivalent of a major in English and minor in Spanish, (my mothertongue is Italian) so every place is suitable to improve skills in these two languages!

You left UC-Berkeley off your list. It is probably highest ranked of the UC schools according to US News and World Report. Below are the rankings and the link:

Those are based on the quality of the school. As far as locations, Berkeley is more progressive (some would say radical) because it is in the San Franscisco area; however, it has a climate similar to the Mediterrean and it is fairly safe (just don’t travel into Oakland). Most UC campuses are safe, but you should talk to locals when you first arrive to determine where “the bad areas” are.
