That this is the easy part of the school year where
all you have to do is just be there! So don’t have
any expectations, good or bad, but just go and get
an idea of your classes and schedule and textbooks.
One hint I learned from a student — he would read his whole history text the first week of school so the rest of the year was like a review. He did this while there was time, which I think was very smart. If you use this time to get ahead, to know in advance what your classes will cover, then you will feel more confident and less lost with everyone else in the crowd.
A lot of the anxiety you feel is picked up from other people, so find your own focus so you don’t fall into the same negative traps. If you find your own niche, your own interests, then you can always stay focused no matter what is going on with everyone else. So use your time to find out what interests and motivates you, and don’t let other people influence you in bad ways. Find out what is good and stick to it.
Take care.
P.S. Simple things keep me going sometimes, like buying new office supplies or having a fun project to work on at the same time. If you have special hobbies or interests can you find out if other students have a group that shares in that activity or start your own group. Sometimes that can help you make it through the day, knowing you have things of personal interest to look forward to. Good luck and I hope you find something that captures your interest.
Have you been doing bad in school? If that is the problem, just take the first step in changing your attitude and go the first day. Stay focus throughout your educational career, and these sort of things will seem silly later on.
Are there any particular things that make you “feel bad”?
Just go to school and meet some people or reunite with some old friends. Relax, things will be okay.
1. I suggest going out and buying a new outfit that you look wonderful in
2. Checking you have everything you need.
3. Taking a nice relaxing bath.
4. Meeting up with a friend before school.
5. Doing your hair and make-up all nice.
6. Just don’t worry, everything will be ok!
Keep focused and study!
Just relax and enjoy.
