bachelor 2 years in 1??

I am an international student. I studied for 2 years in my country and I decided to continue the university in London at Westminster university. They accepted me to the 2nd year and I was wondering if, based on my previous knowledge, is it possible to follow 2nd and 3rd year together in order to obtain a bachelor diploma in one year?

And if I could do it what about the university fee? Do I have to pay double then, for two years at the same time? Could I do it in some installments?

If you feel comfortable taking double the class load, then yes. You can do it. You will most likely need special permission from your academic advisor allowing you to take TWICE the normal maximum credit hours. Remember, you will still have homework and assignments, tests & quizzes in those classes you are taking again, so it may not be worth to cram two whole years worth into one. Maybe one and a half years worth of classes in each regular yearly term would make more sense for you, and keep your stress level down.

Yes, you will have to pay for the additional credit hours you take. Generally, you pay for each credit hour. For example, the university I work at charges $320/credit hour. If a class is listed as having 4.5 credit hours, thats another $1,440 for that class. Some universities also have a max charge, say at 16 credits for the University I attended. Any classes taken beyond that maximum 16, was free. So the difference between 16 credit hours and 20 would be nothing, it would all cost $5,120 total. Your academic counselor will provide all the standards and rules for these kinds of things.

Typically, the office of the registrar will allow you to make installment payments as well. Check with them to determine what you options are IF your financial aid does not cover the cost of attendance.

Of course, I have no idea what credit hours are worth, or how financial aid works in Great Britain. I imagine it’s somewhat similar.

Ask me anything
what is the hurry? It can be done, double up on your classes and very stressful! I imagine you pay for all the courses that you take.
