BA in Italian?
What can you do after graduating from a 4-yr university with a BA in the Italian language? I’m wondering what practical uses it could have if anyone knows?? I’m going to be majoring in art history but also interested in Italian.

Teaching, translating and interpreting are obvious options. With today’s technology, it’s possible to be a freelance translator out of your home and draw business from all over. You can also do that with being an interpreter for conference calls. But with a major in art history as well, you’d be a natural for leading tour groups to Italy.
Check out the web site for the American Translators Association:

Most obvious of course would be too teach Italian at a high school or college level. If you are really good you could be a translator. You could combine art history and italian and do something like a translator at a big tourist attraction like the Metropolitan museum of Art.
