Are there any good alternatives to Kaplan or Princeton Review GMAT Prep classes?

I want to get a good score on the GMAT, but the prep classes are around $1,000. This is incredibly high, are there any less expensive alternatives that will still help me improve my score. I have the books, but was looking more for an instructor type setting.

I studied by myself when I was preparing for the GMAT. But I did find this website helpful: http://gmatdaily.wordpress.com/

You should look through this website first and see if any of the webmaster’s tips are helpful to any question you have. And if you really like this guy’s credential, you should get in touch with him.

You’re probably not going to find an instructor led class for significantly less than Kaplan or Princeton Review courses.

I’d be wary of any instructor who offered to teach you for less than the going rate – at a minimum, I’d verify all of their credentials and what materials they were going to use for instruction. (After all, $500 for some random private instructor might be less than a Kaplan or PR course…but its still $500 too much if the random private instructo is a fraud.)
