architecture at university?
hey does anyone know what architecture involves at university?
does it have a lot of maths, and do you have to go to art college before you can do it?

There is a lot of math in architecture. You will need a basic understanding of geometry, trigonometry and calculus (you can usually take those once you start university). The architecture specific math includes statics (figuring out loads), dynamics (forces), and material specific yields and such. You will most likely have several architectural history courses and studios as well. You don’t have to go to art college first, though. They will teach you all of the drawing you will need (mostly hard-line). You might want to practice sketching, though.
