Anyone do an ESL program?

Do you have any tips to people interested in this career?

Did you enjoy it overall? Anything I should be aware of if I am going to leave overseas? Anything absolutely important I should bring if I go to Spain or South Korea? As for employment what sites would you say is the best in terms of finding the salary you want? I hear Eslcafe.com is good.

I did the CELTA(certificate in English Language teaching to adults)/TEFL(Teaching English as a foreign language) Course .

Im not sure what course you are talking about exactly, but this is the one i did.

It was a great and very informative course. It was very very intensive and i did feel stressed as the workload is very high and needs to be covered within a space of a month.

They do offer this course online but it doesnt hold as much weight and recognition as the one which requires you to do practical teaching and everyday classes.

www.tefl.com is good for jobs

www.teachkorea.com

www.madrid-teacher.com

www.teachabroad.com

www.edufind.com

and yes www.eslcafe.com is good too!!

Hope i helped!!

You don’t have to leave the United States to get an ESL job. Of course, the qualifications for an overseas job and a domestic job might be quite different. And you can also expect that the pay will be quite different. Still, I am an ESL teacher for an intermediate school in Texas, and I love it. I do all kinds of things for the job, not just teach, and it is very rewarding.

So don’t just consider overseas jobs.
