Aberdeen-Angus is the original name of the breed as developed in Scotland, and the term is still in use as such in the United Kingdom.
In the United States they are usually referred to simply as Angus or Black Angus.
Angus are used as beef cattle and are not used for milk intended for human consumption .

Well…I guess that you really listened when someone told you “there’s no such thing as a stupid question”. They lied. LOL. Just kidding. Angus is a breed of cattle…not a part. So if you eat a burger made of “angus beef”…you’re just eating a more expensive breed of cow than the other burger is made of. And unless you’re a beed connosieur, you’re probably not going to be able to tell the difference.

Angus is not a part, but a breed. They are all black, have distinct physical characteristics, and are known for their distinct flavor. (to be honest with you, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between an Angus burger and a old milk cow, though)

An Angus is a breed of animal – Jack in the Box is doing a “word play” – they’re trying not to say “anus”.
they’re basically calling the other guy’s Angus burger an Anus Burger – which is sick, wrong, and completely lacking in tact.
Not to mention, the Angus burger kicks *** over Jack’s Sirloin burger any day.

I agree with jdancy. An interesting aside is that this particular pun first debuted on “Saturday night Live” during the days of Tina Fey. I believe the title of the sketch was “Colonel Angus” and it was set in front of a southern mansion.

Angus is a breed of cow, not a part of its anatomy.
