after nursing, where do i go?
I plan on becoming a midwife, but don’t know what schooling path to take after i do 2 years of nursing at a community college. I’ve been told a variety of things and still don’t know exactly where to go.

After you take boards to become an RN you have to back to school (either an BSN or a bachelors in another field).. You could be working in a labor and delivery unit gaining experience while working towards your bachelors. Then you need to get admitted into an nurse practitioner program that has a midwifery specialization. A midwife is a masters level nurse. If you are working in the field then you can do masters coursework online and your clinicals under a physician where you work! You may even be able to do a bachelors on line if you find the right program.

i agree with the poster above you need to get your BSN in nursing which should not be hard because have completed the 2 years. Midwifery is a master’s level so get the working.
