A Spot of Bother: Mark Haddon. Opinions?
I’m about 50 pages from finishing it and I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed. From experience I know that a good book requires more than a good plot and this book doesn’t seem to make the stretch.

There are writers and there are story tellers. It’s why Twain’s characters were great and his plots were weak. Haddon is the reverse, really. A keen sense of structure, but his characters seem imaginary and wooden.
