what does this mean?
when you say i want friends in america (or overseas,,,,anywhere you want), does it mean you want friends who are in america? or,,,when you are in america, you want friends?

“I want friends in America” almost always means you want friends who live there.
But, try this: “I want friends at school.”
This is less clear-cut, although it probably means that you want friends who attend your school.
English is ambiguous, sorry.
