Do make sure to take a few practice exams first to get the feel of it. The AAMC makes one available for free online, but it’s a very old one and things have changed since then. They allow you to purchase others online, or you can go through a test prep company like Princeton Review or Kaplan and get your practice in that way.
Good luck!
In my state, you can get books from any library within the state and so there are plenty MCAT review books. See if there are any review books at your library. You can take a practice test and see how you do.
The one thing you want to ensure is that if you do take a practice test, that your scores are not sent to the medical schools you apply to. Supposedly with the SAT, all scores are sent and with the ACT, you select the score reports the colleges will see.
