TutorFox Guide for the SAT sounds fake?

i don’t think it is real and i think it is better to study by yourself. it sounds plausible, and it looks real..but how come i never heard about it before? and Titanica (one of the people who claims it helped him) is pasting the same paragraph in every question about TutorFox or SAT preparation information. And i don’t trust him. YOU should buy a Princeton Review, i bet they sell it in many bookshops in the States. It has fabulous tricks and short-cuts to getting the right answer. i just began today, i’m 11th grader btw. I know i started pretty late, oh well..and i really suck at math – but i am just trying to inspire the people who are starting to study for the SAT and are worrying. i even took a mini-SAT on Sparknotes and got %47. really bad… but anyway, good luck! Sorry, this wasn’t really a question..but let’s see if Titanica shows up on my question and pastes the same paragraph..

Studying by yourself is plausible. I bought the guide a year ago off guideparadise.com. TutorFox.com is offering the same book as guideparadise. Basically, the guy who’s selling the book is selling it at two different places. Once you pay for the book, you receive the link for it. It costs only $10 and is actually a pretty good guide for the SAT. It helped me raise my score by about a 100 pts. I recommend using it in conjuction with the Princeton Review’s book. TutorFox’s guide isn’t fake. I stumbled across Titanica’s posts a few times also. I think he posts the same exact thing over and over. Overall, the book is worth $10 and is a great study guide.

The TutorFox guide is definitely not fake. That Titanica guy was probably hired by the site to advertise, but he’s doing a very poor job. You haven’t heard of the book because it was wrote by two students who probably don’t have enough money to publish it. I actually bought the book and currently use it. It’s actually a pretty good guide to use. I think the creators of the site just want to help other students get better SAT scores and are trying to make some money as well. It’s offered at a very cheap price so I don’t have a problem with it. As for the 2400 SAT score, many people in the country were able to get this score on the SAT.

I was wondering the same. There’s the same exact thing at Guide Paradise with people pasting the same paragraph with that link too.

Has anyone ever scored a 2400 ever? If not, then it’s a fake for sure–the description says it was made by two people who scored 2400 and 2350.

Edit – I stand corrected about the perfect score.

I’m positive it’s a fake now that I’ve seen another user registered recently backing up the original poster right after he posts.

Yeah, this Titanica guy annoys me. I’m assuming he’s one of the owners of the website, and is flogging his own products. It looks like a couple of college students tried to put together something, but aren’t having much luck. But the cut-and-paste he’s doing is just annoying, and not at all helpful.

Edit: It looks even more like a scam now than it did a few days ago. Then, they at least had links to past tests and some study information, now it looks like everything but the “buy our book” stuff is all that’s left.

I agree it sounds fake, but to jsoos above a 2400 is absolutely possible (its the perfect score). In fact the valedictorian at my school last year got a 2400. A couple thousand people get that score every year.
