Woah. I certainly wouldn’t try all that at once. And I think very highly of myself.

If you’re smart, which you are, you should be fine. I think you’re smarter than I am! Do you ever study? I never have, and I always did better than people who did. So you should be fine.

Health is easy, a required class for freshmen where I went, and not a problem. I wouldn’t know about gym.

AP Physics is unusual for a freshman, but shouldn’t be hard for you if you’re already in Calculus. It’s basically applying the math you learn in math classes in a different way. You might have a lot of homework problems to do, and certainly a lot of class work, but you should be fine. It isn’t too hard as long as you keep up with it and get the concepts down.

Is Chemistry honors, like, pre-AP? Chemistry was a lot of new information to learn, but I always thought it was fun. Again, if you keep up with it, you should be fine. Don’t procrastinate, do your homework. AP Chemistry, if you take it next year, is one of the harder AP classes and tests, but if you pay attention in pre-AP, it’s not bad, just building on the base work you’ll get this year.

English is English. If you were in honors English last year, it’s not all that much different through high school. You’ll read books, you’ll analyze them, you’ll learn vocabulary.

Government is interesting, and it shouldn’t add too much to your workload. It’s mostly in-class work and listening to lectures. (At least, my AP Government class was.)

Calculus is fun! But you’ll probably have homework to do all the time. If your teacher doesn’t take up homework, though, don’t do it! You’re smart enough to get the concepts down without messing with the busy work. I never did my AP Calc homework, and got a 5 on the AP exam.

Spanish is more of the same, learning vocabulary and grammar in a different language. You may have homework, but it won’t be too difficult or long. I always considered my language classes (French and Latin) to be blow-off classes. Just a lot of vocab.

Orchestra is iffy– how much time are you planning on practicing? And what chair do you plan on getting? Depending on your teacher, you may be expected to do more for orchestra than you’re used to.

Overall, that’s quite a workload. Add in cross country and piano, and you might want to drop a class, one of the more time-intensive ones: chemistry, physics, or calculus. But if you think you’re up to it, go for it! I spent a lot of time in hgh school putting off my homework to chill with friends, and it never hurt me/my grades. You are really smart. You’ll do just fine.

Good luck!

Honestly, the only class on your schedule that looks out of the ordinary for a freshman, would be AP Physics B. I took all the other classes when I was an underclassmen. Well, besides Orchestra. Lol, what the heck. Orchestra? Anyways. I believe that the workload is completely manageable. You just have to know how to prioritize your life and get yourself organized. Make sure that if you’re strong in one or more subjects, dedicate more time and effort into subjects that you’re not doing as well in. Chemistry isn’t that difficult. You just have to practice and practice. English I should be fine. Know how to read passages and analyze them. Also, make sure you know how to write real good essays. This is helpful for when you re-take the SAT or when you take the ACT plus Writing. Pre-AP Calculus Honors? Well. What is that. Like Pre-Calculus? You should be fine. In the beginning, it’s more algebra based, but towards the middle and end, it goes into geometry and trigonometry. Fun stuff. Good luck. Don’t screw up your GPA! Your freshman and sophomore years are the most important.

Well, you’ll have to learn how to manage your time, but you should be fine. Sometimes that amount of time you have to spend studying can be caused by teachers being rediculously hard and giving stupid projects (and that’s probably why I found that my 5 honors freshman classes were harder than the 5 AP courses and two honors courses I took my senior year).

Thje courses themselves don’t look that hard (although you might find AP Physics B easier after taking four high school math classes, going all the way through trig and pre-calculus). When I was in honors physics, the students who had the four years of math completed before they took the course did better than the ones who only had completed Algebra 2.

Take into consideration the study time you will need to devote to each class. You may still want to take those classes but try to form a schedule. Monday coudl be all studying. Tuesday study then phone two friends etc. Congrads on being so smart you should do well with your college admissions boards 🙂

Idk what that lady is talking about but these courses are REALLY out of the ordinary. You’ll be in classes with mostly Juniors and Seniors.

You sound like a smart kid so I think you’re schedule looks fine as long as you are dedicted to the AP Physics and pre-AP calculus.

I seems that you have a lot you want to do and not enough time. I am just like you I am going to be a freshman next year, I have all A’s and I run cross-country. I know it can be stressful but just try your hardest you will get through it.

You say you’re smart and that you do all these things…why even ask?

You’ll be able to handle it….you’re classes aren’t that hard, I’ve takenall of them (they’re all called the same in my school too, weird) and I got through them all pretty well…
