This is an arithmetic sequence (also known as an arithmetic progression). In an arithmetic sequence, the difference of any two successive numbers in the sequence is a constant, so in this sequence:

7-3=4, 11-7=4, 15-11=4, 19-15=4

so 4 is the constant difference in the sequence.

A geometric sequence is one in which each term after the first is found by multiplying the previous number by a constant non-zero number. An example of a geometric sequence is

3, 9, 27, 81, 243, …

where each number after the first is multiplied by 3.

Hope this helps.

It is an arithmetic progress. The first term is 3 and the step is 4.

Arithmetic. You are adding 4 each time. Geometric is when you multiply.

is an arithmethic sequence cuz you add 4

3 + 4 = 7

7 + 4 =11

11 + 4 = 15

15 + 4 = 19

enable the 1st quantity be x the 2d and third numbers would be x+4 and x+8 in accordance to 2d condition the recent numbers pop out to be x+2, x+4+3 and x+8+5 or x+2, x+7 and x+13. those new numbers are in G.P. It skill (x+2)/(x+7)=(x+7)/(x+13) to unravel for x, go multiply (x+2)*(x+13)=(x+7)*(x+7) or x^2+15x+26=x^2+14x+40 9 or15x-14x=40 9-26 or x=23 consequently 3 numbers are 23, 27 and 31

arithmetic, you’re just adding 4.

The equation would be 3 + 4x = y

It`s an arithmetic progression, with a common difference of

4…………….. you just keep on adding 4 to get the next term.
