The bomb was dropped on August 6 , 1945….
I was 6 years old almost 7. I didn’t understand everything about the bomb or the war. I did understand the black outs and the fear inside me that the Japanese were coming to get us. That isn’t something I was told, It is a 6 year old take on their surroundings and bits of information heard around the dinner table.
I just knew it was the biggest and worst bomb ever in the whole wide world.
