What he is saying is how the books take us to another place an time, taking words and feelings and emotions and making it into a unified sensation

In books, authors use words in unique and creative ways, taking bits and pieces from reality (“the patches of the universe”) and combining them with their own personal viewpoints to create a unique vision.

Kind of hard to answer this without having read the entire work. I would say though that it sounds as if ” hey we’re all laed to believe what people want us to belive” type of thing and that books (maybe a biblical reference) were written to explain things that we can’t use sensory actions to understand.

He is saying that truth is a relative and changing thing based on the opinions of others and the tools and devices that were available to them at the time.

oh i had to read that book for school too! the main theme is censorship. we did a whole report on it because the censorship is in how they hide things. they don’t let the public read books, they do not really appreciate people who speak against it. i think though, that you should read “between the lines” of the book, you’ll see that.
