I want to become a investment banker, but I don’t know anything about it!?

Can anyone tell me what investment banking is about, I will also be going to college next year but I don’t know what subjects to take. I have a limit of 4 subjects, and I’m thinking of taking economics and stastics mathematics so far. I did some research on investment banking and found out that these two skills are critical. Am I right? Help :S I’d like to take this oppertunity to thank you for any information or help you can give me.
