political philosophies and ideologies change with the seasons and on any given day you can hear just about any political view expressed as the right one.
The world was a different place back then. Changes in philosophy don’t change the reality of history and a well educated society would not allow the repetition of those days.
Unless the global community does something foolish, those days are ‘gone with the wind’ and therefore irrelevant.

Because Mao tortured and killed the largest number of his country’s people. He was lead for many years by Joseph (The Man of Steel) Stalin but finally closed the gap on old Joe and took the lead. Pol Pot was a distant third. He had neat piles of skulls though. Kim Il Sung was considered the most fanatical Marxist but statistically it would be impossible to kill as many as Mao because North Korea is just so small 🙁
