How did Bacon’s Rebellion and the Salem Witchcraft Trials reflected tensions in colonial society?

There was Salem Town and there was Salem Village. If you get a map of where the accused witches/wizards live and where the accusers live, you might notice patterns. People living nearer the shore were more worldly, while people living in the farms more inland were not so worldly in the merchant world. The whole Salem place had one church, but Salem Town and Salem Village differed on choice of a minister. Tensions in colonial society? some people were religious, others wanted to pursue material gain, etc etc.

Bacon’s Rebellion… There were wealthy landowners and poorer workers, mix in some Native Americans-colonists tension, and the powder keg explodes.

2. Find some examples of what colonial life was like leading up to these events

3. Figure out how they changed them.

Both of these events enacted huge changes in the social, political, and religious structures of colonial society…I will give you that much. The rest of it, you’re going to need to read up on. If you still don’t understand it, come back and we’ll be happy to explain 🙂
