well this quote comes from the Bible …it has to do either with Maria Magdalene washing Jesus’ feet or when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples …i think
anyway, the sensory images are the praying –> there is the action of kneeling = tact
the tarry –> images of taste, smell and vision
washing of the feet –> tact and vision
