What are some problems that we face regarding our mineral resources?

mineral sources are limited. once they are extracted the pits need to be dumped with some other material, which is a problem. extracting minerals are chemical based processes and the byeproduct chemicals can be harmful to the environment.

We are using up our resources much faster than the earth can ever reproduce them. eventually we will run out of fuel for our vehicles.
