Mathematics qn. number 2…?

please solve by pythagoras theorm…. =)

One diagonal of a rhombus is 24 cm. Find the length of the other diagonal if each side of the rhombus measures 13 cm.

in a rhombus, there are four right triangles so the side of the rhombus, the hypotenuse of the little triangle is 13. the long leg is 12 because thats 24 halved.

so 12 squared plus blank equals 13 squared. 144+ __ = 169

isolate the blank by doing this 169-144= ___

and you get 25, square root it, thats 5

5 is half the diagonal, thats 10

Hint: The diagonals of a rhombus BISECT each other at right angles. I`m not going to do this one for you as well, but I will tell you that the answer is 10 cm.
