Almost anyone could show you the answers to these mathematical problems, which, incidently, are simple problems.

However, it would be much more productive and beneficial to YOU if you calculate them yourself and learn from the experience. You CAN do it.

Here’s a hint: Relate the seconds and minutes to HOURS and calculate the speeds and distances accordingly. FOR EXAMPLE, in the first question 10 seconds is 1/6 of a MINUTE, and there are 60 minutes in an HOUR. Multiply the speed by 6, and then by 60, and you will have the total distance (m) travelled in one hour. Then if you divide by 1,000 you willl have the km travelled in one hour.

Get it? It’s just a matter of following the little steps required.

s=100m

t=10s

v= s/t

v= 100/10 = 10m/s
