What should i expect for High School?

Get to know your counselor. Unlike grade school and junior high, the counselor also functions as an academic advisor. S/he can steer you toward the right electives or programs to prepare for college, testing prep for college, etc. They are also there to help with any adjustment issues you may have. Once school gets underway, find out when you can meet your counselor. Good high schools will already have this as part of your agenda.
Sports groups are probably already forming. Contact the school and ask to speak to the coach for the sport you are interested in joining.
Socially, most students will not be out to get you. You’ll know by instinct who you should associate with and who to avoid just like you learned in grade school. Just be friendly.
Don’t spread yourself too thin in the first year. One sport and maybe one club should be enough until you learn the ropes.
Enjoy high school, some adults say it was the best years of their lives.
Who cares if you are made fun of for being smart? Would you rather be stupid? Be yourself, because in a couple of years, I bet that you will be so much better off in life than the jocks that made fun of you in junior high.
