whats the best public high school on the east coast?

Harriton High School in Rosemont, PA aka Lower Merion Township is an excellent school. It has the International Baccalaureate (sp?) Program. Most people in the area put their kids in the public school system instead of the local private schools because they are so good. Bryn Mawr College, Villanova U. and Haverford College are right in the area. Sturgis Charter School in Plymouth, MA also has the IB program…I think it was ranked or is going to be ranked the 45th top public school in the country. Check out some schools in Boston, MA…Cambridge-Rindge and Latin, Boston Public, those are really good I think.

The best ones are the 8 specialized high schools of New York City. They have the most alumni(people who graduated from those schools and are now famous) graduates, and teach the most advanced regents subjects: these schools are: the Bronx high school of science, Brooklyn technical high school, Staten Island technical high school, Fiorello H. Laguardia high school of music and performing arts, Stuyvesant high school, sorry I forgot the last 3, If you want to know more, look them up, you’ll get tons of results.

These 8 high schools are the best of new york, and probably the east coast, because the only other state that offers regents studies is California.

Only the best of the best get into these schools, thousands of parents train their kids for years to pass the specialized high school entry exam, only the brightest handful get accepted every year.

Just in case you don’t know, regents are just more advanced school subjects, the specialized high school students get college level work and beyond right from their freshman year, these schools don’t play.

Every year there is a regents test that can only be taken by eigth and ninth graders, its really hard(i should know, I took it this year and fell 25 points short of getting accepted into Brooklyn technical high school)
