Is high school calculus hard?
For someone who gets 80s in math, will calculus be hard?

It depends on what level of calculus you are taking (regular, honors, AP…) but it is not insanely difficult. I just took AP Calculus and I managed to understand everything I was taught. Just make sure to pay attention and don’t fall behind. A lot of calculus is memorizing the rules for derivatives/integrals. If you have previously taken precalculus, then it will be easier.

It all depends on the teacher. Sometimes instructors like to give insanely hard problems for which there is nothing in the textbook to teach you how to do it. Other times, your instructor will be straight forward. You may be able to maintain your 80s, but you probably won’t go up.

The key to any math subject, is to memorize and accept the rules. DO not question them and all will be easy. The important part is as stated memorize and accept the formulas and rules. Stressed this with my daughter, she has taken heavy math classes and has been on the deans list since.
