I went to a Christian School and Public school and my comparisons in life?

While I was attending the Christian school with less than 70 students, I felt as if I was getting superior education, considering the fact that it was private and that they profess to not withhold truthful knowledge as do public schools. I’ll admit that I enjoyed life there and hold great memories. I am thankful I got the chance to be saved there, but it wasn’t until I switched to a public school that I started to notice how terrible the system was. For instance, the teachers were narrow minded and extremely right winged. I even doubt that they had held an undergraduate degree. Once I transferred to a public school system, I just went crazy. I was behind a year in math, I was very promiscuous from being so long deprived(i never had sex ed). I was even into drugs. I just couldn’t handle the change, which would have affected me in normal life. Luckily, I managed to adapt and attend a cc and transfer to a 4 year University trying to become a CPA and get an MBA. Boy what a ride it has been

Um, that wasn’t really a question.

I think is really ridiculous to assume that a teacher doesn’t have a degree. I would venture to say that only under extremely rate circumstances would a teacher not have an undergraduate degree.

If you ask me, it sounds like you lead a very sheltered life at your Christian school and were not properly equipped to deal with the real world. I fully support anyone who wishes to have a faith-based education (I attended a private Christian college) but you also need to understand the the entire world doesn’t operate that way.

What good is a great education if you can’t function in normal society? Yeah, that’s right, it’s no good at all.

I’ve acquired no stats, however three households I realize use the personal devout colleges. They all document smaller magnificence sizes & the ratio of pupils to offerings was once a lot more beneficial than they’d discovered in public university. Now, some of the three, is having problems with English & the children as it is not the predominant language of their university, however it appears the university is adapting to clear up this dilemma.

Sounds like you got your stuff together. They both have good and bad as you can tell us from first hand experience. I am fortunate enough to live in an area with the best schools in our state where it doesn’t even make sense to send your children to private schools but I would be interested to know which you would send your children to.

Interesting. I only went to public schools, and occasionaly I wish I had had the one on one attention that smaller private school classes provide. I think it would have been just as bad had you gone to a public school and then gone to a private school.
