It’s way too early to be worrying about med school; focus on your undergrad first. Pick a school that you want to go to that has a good pre-med program (or another program that interests you, a lot of ppl get into med school without a pre-med degree), and then look at that college’s admittance requirements. Try to take as much science as you can in high school, particularly an anatomy class if your school has it; it will give you some foundation for your college classes and you can make sure that’s really what interests you.

I also had this question when I was in 10th grade, which was two years ago. The volunteer hours at the hospital are very impressive, and your grades are actually better what mine were at that time. What I decided to do was go for a direct 8-year medical program, where the student is automatically accepted into medical school, therefore not worrying about applying as med school is becoming very hard to get into. For reference, look into the UMKC medical program, which is a 6 yr med program, very competitive, but therea re others like it, 7 and 8 yr guaranteed programs that u can get into. Also, in high school take as many college courses as possible without over-heating yourself- AP courses. These will really help u in the long run, trust me. I am in a 8 year med program, and going into my fresh. year i already have 15 hrs. This really helps out. Also for me the MCAT does not affect my acceptance into med school, which is a big sigh of relief. Also try really hard on SAT and ACT, to me ACT was eaisier and i think that is what got me into the 8 yr med program. Look around at the schools in your state and see if there are any med programs like this. Good luck!!

one million. Do properly in technology and math. artwork on writing. English could be literature, that isn’t help a whit once you’re a doctor. Ask your English instructor in case you are able to write expository essays (explaining issues) and if he or she will appropriate them. clarify which you quite want to be a doctor, and docs might desire to write up their labs. 2. evaluate taking technology or math classes at an area college interior the summertime, enormously between sophmore and junior 300 and sixty 5 days. 3. throughout the time of your volunteering, ask the docs for suggestion. 4. study scientific non-fiction. i’m analyzing Firlik’s yet another Day interior the Frontal Lobe, and this is incredibly stable. So became Gawande’s issues and Groopman’s How surgeon’s think of.
