Associates Degree and Community Colleges?

If you earn an associates degree for one major and decide to take up another major right after earning the degree, do you have to retake the same courses again? I took English comp I and II for my Automotive major, which i had just completed and earned an Associates degree for. However, i would like to go back to school to get a degree in Accounting. Would i have to take English Comp I and II again?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer this question.

No, in fact, usually they won’t even let you do this. Different schools have different rules about how they handle this – you may have to take extra units to make up for the courses you would normally have to take for a degree, but check with your college.

i may be mistaken, but I heard the credit you earn for classes is good for 7 years.
