incident – an individual occurrence or event.
by the way, deference has a different meaning from difference.
difference – an instance or point of unlikeness or dissimilarity
deference – respectful submission or yielding to the judgment, opinion, will, etc., of another.

If you mean the difference, an incident is an occurrence, something that takes place, a happening. An accident is an incident that occurs by mischance, a mistake, causing upset.
If you mean deference I suppose an incident might defer to an accident as it is a particular type of incident and therefore more specialised.
