How can I get free replacement volumes of an encyclopedia set?
My local library gave me an encyclopedia set with 5 missing volumes. I have found people selling them on Ebay for $15 per volume. However, is there any way I can contact libraries around the country or schools to see if they will donate them? Any suggestions?

You can try freecycle – it’s a community where people give their stuff away to other members of the community. I think it’s something like freecycle.com. You can check and see if one has been set up in your community.
(I read about this about a year ago but I’m sure it’s still around.)
