disadvantages of memos?

memos can be treated as unofficial and hence not taken seriously. but a memo is still a doc. so whatever info is inside there, it must be looked into. the person who says its only a memo is naive and lack office skills. some community have diff grade for various info – report, memo, first information, notes, file notes,

there’s little disadv but more adv as ultimately info is being passed on and passed down
