VideoText Interactive is incredible. It’s on DVD – which will also go on the computer – and is very, very easy to understand. My son will be starting their algebra next spring, and will do their geometry after that.

Since you’re looking for a computer program, I highly recommend Teaching Textbooks. My son is doing their Algebra I now.

It’s written by two brothers who are Harvard graduates. They lecture you on audio CD’s, and you work problems in a text/workbook. Every single answer in the book is also answered, step by step, on another set of audio CD’s. There’s also a separate answer key book for the text. You won’t find any other math program that works out every text problem.

The authors also throw in a lot of humor, which my sons love.

You can watch sample video clips and see sample text pages.

Depending on your math skills, I can not tell you if it is going to be an easy course for you, however it is solid academically, and very thorough, as any good math book should be.

Contact your state education department. They will have a curriculum that meets the standards for your state. You can probably find it online.

Although this is California standards, I believe it will work fine.

And some worksheets (hopefully this will go well with CA standards)
