Can I have some of my financial aid transfered to my first semester instead of being split up?

I got $19000 in financial aid and $3500 in stafford loan and owe $8500 per semester. They wand $6000 now, but I can’t get it. Don’t ask about loans, parents have bad credit and no-one will cosign, not even family-b/c they don’t care. Anyway, I have all this financial aid, but it is split up between the 2 semesters, is there any way I can convince my scool to transfer $6000 from one semester out of the $19000 to my first semester, so I don’t have to pay now, and tell them not to enroll me in spring unless I have the rest?

No, the regulations governing financial aid at both the federal and the state level require that it be split between semesters equally.

Your parents should still apply for a PLUS loan, however. If they are denied solely for reasons of credit your financial aid office can use that denial to allow you to borrow additional unsubsidized loans to cover your costs.
