It means that you are not expected to put anything toward your education based on your income information submitted. This means that you will be getting a Pell grant and possibly an ACG or SMART grant as well (new federal grant programs that have additional criteria), in addition to any other school grants or scholarships offered by your institution (if you submitted your information (FAFSA and any other document required by your school) by the school’s posted deadline; if you missed the deadline you will still get the federal money, but may miss out on institutional).
You will want to talk to your financial aid officer for more information as to what to expect/what else you may need to do.

EFC is your Estimated Family Contribution.
It is determined by your last years tax information that you have entered online.
If it is 0 it means you are not expected to pay anything towards your schooling. You will also probably get grants and scholarships as well.
