It is sort of like a verse from the bible….
“..and the meek shall inherit the earth..” The peasant is the meek one and his award for defeating the devil (in this case the dragon) is the earth.
So it doesn’t matter who you are, the meek/the innocent are always the ones who emerge on the other side of darkness.
I agree with neshawashington, that was a good analogy too, I just wanted to put my spin on it as well. I love quotes and words. They (words) can be so powerful if you want them to.

It is just like the story of David & Goliath, no matter your stature you can defeat anything or anyone if you put your mind to it. There is always a means to gain victory even if you don’t have money to purchase the best of weapons.
