who invented the internet?
did just one person invent it or was it lots of people im confused that some sites say that it was one person and some sites like this http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/history/inventednet.html

The government invented the internet, for the military.

Definitely not Al Gore. The world wide web was invented by the Russian government in the 80’s.

According to my old government teacher, the Internet was an idea spawned from a think tank, I’m not sure which one… maybe the Brookings Institute… but it was an idea so that if the world lost all it’s government… a world war to end all world wars for instance… that we could still communicate as a society free of government… or something like that… but as far as creating it… a lot of people contributed to it…
