Does the phrase”For me Holland is not a temporary stop, it’s a destination” sound right?Any better suggestions
I am writing to a universitiy in holland and I want to finish my letter with something to the effect that Holland is THE destination of my life you know in terms of carrier and such. So I end it with the phrase “Because Holland for me is not just a temporary stop, it is a destination”. But it does not sound quite right to me. Do you have any better suggestions to that effect?? Thanks

I’d write it like this:
Holland is my final and permanent destination, not a temporary lay-over.

For me, Holland is not a temporary stop. It’s a destination.

I suggest modifying it to… For me, Holland is not a temporary stop, it is a final destination.

For me Holland is, in fact, the desired permanent destination, and not merely a place to visit. ??

Sounds adequate to me!
