What is the meaning of Stained Glass Masquerade By Casting Crowns??

Masquerade means an outward show of good but inside it is not so good.
To my mind it would mean Falsehood as described in the bible. Hypocrites.
Is there anyone that falls
Am I the only one in church today feelin’ so small
(Seems like the man portrayed here is looking around, seeing how might, how great and how strong the people around him in church. He knew himself within and asking if there are also people who like him, which fails, falls and feel so small)
Cause when I take a look around
Everybody seems so strong
I know they’ll soon discover
That I don’t belong
(Looking at the outward appearance, the people around him, attending in the church seems so strong. But knowing within who really is, he is intimidated)
So I tuck it all away, like everything’s okay
If I make them all believe it, maybe I’ll believe it too
So with a painted grin, I play the part again
So everyone will see me the way that I see them
(It became routine to the person to fake himself so that he can show and try to feel that he is belong)
Are we happy plastic people (fake)
Under shiny plastic steeples (fake church)
With walls around our weakness (showing strong, hesitant to show real self)
And smiles to hide our pain (showing strong, hesitant to show real self)
But if the invitation’s open To every heart that has been broken (if it is okay to unleash the real self)
Maybe then we close the curtain On our stained glass masquerade (then there is no need to fake himself)
Is there anyone who’s been there
Are there any hands to raise
Am I the only one who’s traded
In the altar for a stage
The performance is convincing
And we know every line by heart
Only when no one is watching
Can we really fall apart
(second verse is about minister or singer)
But would it set me free
If I dared to let you see
The truth behind the person
That you imagine me to be
Would your arms be open
Or would you walk away
Would the love of Jesus
Be enough to make you stay
Christians are not called to “play”. “fake” or “act” strong.
The church must be open and undiscriminating so that Christians can show their real spirituality level so that we can help and pray for them to overcome their weakness.
