I know it is a proctor and Gamble product but I want to know the Inventors name.

Actually was accidentally discovered (not invented) by the wife of an employee of Proctor and Gamble. She spilled some liquid water softener on a washcloth and threw it in the dryer with a load of towels. The towels came out smelling nice and fresh (now wouldn’t that be a name for a dryer sheet), and feeling very soft. Of course she didn’t receive any credit or compensation for her discovery. Mr. Proctor and Mr. Gamble claimed the discovery for themselves and their pocketbooks.
