Should public school teachers be allowed to teach this prayer?
While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:
God Bless America, Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

Whether or not the children (most probably grades 8 – 12) wish to take part in singing this song would be a personal choice by that age.
Through out our education we all read poems, literature, take part in plays and sing songs that we all don’t necessarily believe in the subject matter totally. To me it’s a matter of choice.
History proves we are a Christian nation.
This may give you a different view of the anti-prayer attitude of the miss-informed.
