Yeah, it’s called Google. My husband catches students plagiarizing ALL the time simply by using Google. If you can find it on the Internet, so can your teachers.

Well I know at my school they have a system that they put all of the essays into and cross check them to make sure they original writings. Plus a professor can tell by previous papers and your attendance/participation in class to get an idea of your writing style. So if you turn in something that is totally different than what you typically write or us words that you don’t typically use then they will check to make sure you didn’t cheat. In the long wrong its alot easier to write your own paper than have someone else write it, I mean you will never learn if you have someone else write your paper.

As a matter of fact we can. Search engines have closed the gap and made the thing easier. They do this at colleges now and surprise surprise they have found a lot of plagarism out there. Some high schools now have this software. We used Socrates but there are others.

I don’t use it every time. A couple times a semester is good enough.

Yes, there is a site where the teacher can put in just one sentence and anything that has that sentence will come up.

Ya, don’t do it dude. It’s not good. It’s better if you do the work on your own and maybe not get an A, then to cheat and get a good grade and then get caught and get into trouble. It’s just not worth it dude.
