How much English do you need to know to be able to teach English in China?
Thanks.

“I don’t wanna go to school today, cause i’m so tired!”
The proper English way to both say and spell this would be:
“I don’t want to go to school today, because I am (I’m) too tired!”
Most people who speak English don’t go around talking proper english all day everyday, ya know? Just go to college and major in Teaching English as a second Language…Good Luck! : )
2. Your command of mandarin doesn’t have to be perfect but you should be able to carry at least a crude conversation. I was provided an assistant translator.
Advice offered by some of the contributors to this thread is untrue. You do not NEED a degree in “teaching ESL.” A teaching certification is not required at all. Schools provide training programs to prep you for the challenges you will face and what is to be expected of you. (at which point they may provide you with a generic certificate of completion)
Language-wise, as a native speaker, you have the advantage but I think the authority concerned would also like to see how well you can interact with the students.
May try apply job in international school. Good luck
JUST ACQUAINT YOURSELF WITH THE GRAMMATICAL RULES TO BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN TO YOUR STUDENTS WHY THIS SHOULD BE THAT.
you need to know parts of a sentence
how to put a sentence together
poems
adverbs
stuff like that you should try and study if you dont feel you might not know enough
