For students who wish to go to medical school, Vassar is much better because it is much stronger in the sciences.
That is not to say that Sarah Lawrence is not a good school. It is. But SLC is much stronger in the visual arts and creative writing than the hard sciences.
In addition, Vassar has much better research opportunities. One can be a summer scholar working closely with a professor doing research in his or her lab. This is a HUGE boost for med school applicants.

Sarah Lawrence has better hype and Vassar has a Cornell PH D in Inorganic chemistry they brag about.
Both are good Schools.
Martin Scorsese did his under grad filmmaking work at Sarah Lawrence.
