how do i begin researching about what university/programs will be ideal for me in the future?
it’s the summer before my grade 11 year, and i want to begin looking for the right future university for me. i will be entering university in 2 years.
i don’t want to make the same mistake my older brother did- he was not sure about what area he wanted to go into, and ended up switching programs in his 2nd year of uni!
i have a general like for all subjects in my high school, and so cannot rule out many possibilites at the moment.
i don’t know how or where to start researching.
please lend me some advice!

Please don’t call what happened to your brother a mistake. Most people don’t know what they want to study when they go to college. Even after they graduate, many people still don’t know. Last I heard the average adult changes career fields at least 3 times. You’re young, and it’s going to be hard to decide especially since you say you “have a general like for all subjects.” I was the same way, kind of liked everything, changed my major 3 times, and took 5 years to graduate. Was that my plan? No, but I needed to find what I REALLY enjoyed, and I learned a lot about myself. When taking classes, ask yourself, “Is this something I could do all day everyday?” If not, you should probably find something else. If I were you, or could do it all over again, I would try to volunteer or get internships/jobs at places in the fields you are most interested in. Classes teach the fundamentals, but work experience teaches the real day-to-day job. If I had interned sooner in my college career, I probably would’ve found my major more quickly as well. Once you think you know what you’d like to study, the website below lets you search out colleges based on various factors. Good luck in your search, and just remember it’s ridiculous to think that everyone will know at 18 what they want to do till they’re 60. Enjoy the journey…I did 🙂

Try to get a job or internship in a company that is doing something that you might be interested in and that will give you a good idea of what you want out of life and what to major in.

what subject is easiest for you??? what subject are you most interested in? just ask yourself questions like that and you will learn a lot!
my answers for those very questions were biology, and i am trying to pursue a carrer in biomedical engineering
