Why not go take a calculus course. Its not so much that it is or is not required for this special program, the issue is that calculus will be critical to pre-med courses that are required in physics, chemistry, and other related course. It is not a useful tool to a doctor, but it is a critical tool to a pre-med student looking to get good enough scores to remain in a special medical school program or apply to a medical school after college.

One semester of calculus is recommended for those interested in medical school. But make sure to check with your top choices for medical schools to see what they require. It should be available on their websites under “admissions.” Good luck!

I am not sure how many years, but you will most likely need 3-4 semesters of pre-calc/calc/ or other high level math.
