it varies from state to state with certain restrictions about when (days & time) you can work. Ask your school or your town hall what the rules are.

I was 14 when I had my first job. I worked for a pharmacy delivering medication to the elderly people who lived in the area, before that I would pick up prescriptions from the doctor surgury to take back for the pharmacist to make up. i worked for 2 hours every day after school.
Some of the old people where really nice, they gave me sweets and biscuts and sometimes money (£5) which was really nice of them.
I think a paper round would be a good place to start. Nothing to serious, it’s best to focus on your education.

you have to be 16 to work on your own, and can be 15 with a work permit. you may be able to get a work permit now, just check into the department of employment security office in your area. you would also not be able to get a full time job for any reason before 15. you could also be paid less than minimum wage (possibly) since you are so young. in order to work now you would have to show that you are from a family who is very poor and would need your income to support the household. if its just for spending cash, you will not be able to do so. try mowing lawns, babysitting or shoveling snow during the winter months. you would make more money that way anyway.
don’t worry about getting a job this early. you will work your entire adult life. enjoy your childhood now or you never will be able to do so.
