Good luck and you are smart to start preparing now. Remember, they are looking for well rounded students so don’t forget service requirements. Also, grade point and MCAT scores are very important. I hope it turns out like you want.
You may consider an undergraduate college that also has a medical college. Without a doubt, I think that may give you an advantage when applying for med school if you choose to remain at that university.

But I would look at undergraduate universities first because if you don’t get stellar grades in undergraduate studies you won’t get into medical school. So I would focus on that. Try to find a competitive university that suits your needs and talents.
UCLA is ranked #13 in the country. Pretty good choice.
